Curriculum Vision
At New Bridge Pathways, our ICT curriculum aims to provide pupils with a balance and engaging approach to teaching computational thinking, information communication technology (ICT) and computer science.
Our ICT curriculum is designed to appeal to all our young people to allow them to develop a deep understanding of the subject.
The computing curriculum challenges and stretching our young people, encouraging them to reach their full potential whilst address their individual learning, social, emotional needs and interests.
ICT Lessons at New Bridge Pathways
Our students take part in one ICT lesson per week. The majority of our students will access units of the WJEC ICT pathways Entry 1 – Level 1 qualification.
These units delivered cover many fundamental concepts in computing to equip our young people at New Bridge Pathways with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the digital world confidently and make the most of the opportunities it presents.
Our students who are focusing on EHCP targets within the computing curriculum will have a bespoke curriculum allowing them to experience a range of digitally themed topics.
