Autumn 2, Week 1 - Poppies
Welcome back everyone to the start of Autumn 2.
It was so good to see everyone back safe and sound on Monday morning after the Halloween and bonfire weekend.
I really enjoyed last week looking at the pictures from holiday club and the fun and antics that the students took part in.
Last half term was incredibly long, and I think the week’s rest has been a welcomed break – even though the nights have got longer and the mornings darker.
This term is 7 weeks long and we’ve got an awful lots of exciting events to cram into this time. Next Friday we celebrate Children in Need Day – more details to come next week.
This term we also open our doors to families and carers at Parents Evening on Wednesday 27th November at the Roman Road site. Information has been sent to families – but please contact us if any further clarification is needed.
This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday – where we think about people who have been lost at war. It’s also a time when we think about people who have made sacrifices for others. The poppy is a symbol of both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. I think this is something we all want the world to be full of peace and hope.
Autumn 2, Week 1
That’s it for me for this week. I m trying to get to the end of November until I mention the C word.
Have a great weekend
Stay safe
