PE has been one of the highlights for us at the Learning Centre.
The students really enjoy the challenges Miss Rowe plans for them.
The students have been working on building their core strength, balance, coordination and stamina.
They have also been learning about the importance of exercising and staying healthy.
This has linked in with some of our learning in tutor time about the importance of good sleep routines.
It's also supported the students in accessing outdoor learning with Mr Fennelly where every week the students visit a local landmark and explore the area.
The favourite from this half term was Scout Tunnel in Mossley which is not only a good walking or hiking expedition but also provides a sense of adventure as you have to navigate the 205 yards in the dark! Being fit and healthy has been a real success for us!
We've also developed our creative sides and as always, some amazing pieces of art have been produced.
Inspired by the Bauhaus artistic movement, students recreated work from the 1920's. The journey that Miss Sheehy has taken us on through the decades has been fun and engaging and art remains one of our favourite sessions here at the Learning Centre.
Have a great half term break.
