Learning Centre Blog (20.9.24)
IB1
Hello and welcome to our blog for IB1.
We have all settled well into our new class as well as our new classroom and we are loving the outside space we have attached to our class (the sunshine these past couple of weeks has been amazing).
We have spent time creating our Bee to represent the 3 B’s of New Bridge.
Our topic this term is Autumn and have we have been busy creating artwork for our classroom display and our class tree which is standing proud.
We have been for walks around the Learning Centre site to find Autumn related items, we have been developing our sorting skills in Maths by colour sorting leaves and we have taken part in some Autumn mindfulness sessions.
As the term progresses, we are looking forward to taking part in our Outdoor Ed sessions again and spending time within different areas of the Learning Centre including the Cosy Home and ILS.

Well done everyone in Miss Carter's class on a great start to the year. I’m delighted to see you all engaging so well in activities, and happy and relaxed within class.. Huge well done also to the class team helping students settle.
Please can I join your Autumn mindfulness sessions next time!!
I’d like to take this opportunity to remind all our year 12 parents & Guardians that we are holding our Learning Centre welcome evening on the 1st October.
Letters have been sent out to families with all the relevant information. This will be an opportunity to meet staff teams and key staff who support our amazing young people. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate in contacting Hannah on Reception.
Have a great weekend, hoping the sunny weather holds!
Take care
Dawn
