IBGCR

IBGCR have a had a fantastic week.

We have been using Positive Looking techniques in our sensory story, Around the world.

This week we have been focusing on the county India.

We have been working on our build element in Maths, using Indian scented rice and pasta.

We have made Indian Ice -Cream, Kulfi, in cooking.

🍦

Did some Rangoli painting in Art.

We have took part in role play as a lollipop person, helping each other to cross the road safely.

And we have visited the local shops as part of our travel topic in Living Skills.

All in all a fab week!!

Learning Centre Blog (23.5.25)

EBase 2

Within our Enrichment lessons, Ebase 2 have been exploring the world and learning about different countries that the class has chosen. This half term we have been exploring the North American Continent and more specifically, Mexico!

We have explored the Mexican celebration of Cinco de Mayo, filling in quiz sheets about the celebration and listening to Mexican style music to better understand the festival.

The students decided to embrace the celebrations and created a Sombrero using classroom items and began to paint it in the same colours as the Mexican flag

Our next stop when we return after the holidays is the USA!

EBase 2 (Enrichment) - 23.5.25

Some of the students within Ebase 2 have begun to take part in Dance and drama lessons outside the classroom.

James and Lukas are joining other students from different classes in learning the dance moves and lyrics to the Queen song ‘Radio Ga Ga’

Earlier this month was VE day! The class learned all about why the day was so important and made their own paper spitfire planes to help decorate the classroom.

CL4 WBY

This term our students have enjoyed cooking and have been working hard in RHSE as well as maths.

In RHSE we have been talking about our bodies and appropriate touch and in Maths we have been looking at regular and irregular 2D shapes.

Everyone is looking forward to May half term to have a little rest before the push for the end of term.

Student Council

The student council at New Bridge Learning Centre have had a very busy week. First, they had a student present his enterprise idea to the student council, which they all loved! Later, they created a video promoting the worry box, which they hope will help students' concerns.

We love having such an active student council at The Learning Centre.
