Learning Centre Blog (3.10.25)

It’s been another busy week at the Learning Centre; a highlight was our McMillan coffee morning on Thursday where families joined staff and students in sampling some lovely cakes (too many if I’m honest!).

A huge shout out to Mrs Kindon and the Nurture groups class who manned the cake and refreshment stall. I was very impressed by their maths skills and customer service! I’m delighted to share that we also had a cashless option where staff could donate through a QR code!

Thanks also to Mrs Curran's class who ran the slush stall!

Altogether we raised £240!

Well done, everyone!

Next Monday afternoon sees the first parents and carers group of this academic year, we offer a warm welcome to all, it’s a great opportunity to meet with and talk to other families. We will also be inviting a range of professional throughout the year. Please call the Learning Centre for further information.

On Thursday we are holding a Harry Potter day, I need to get my costume sorted and on Friday it's World Mental Health Day. I look forward to reporting on all these events within next week’s blog.

Please do check out this week’s class blogs, well done to Mrs Rowe's class, love that you’re getting creative!

I also have to make a special mention to Bailey who is leading on developing and modernising our flat.

Watch this space, everyone!

Have a great weekend all

Miss Allison

Community Living 4

This half term in Community Living 4, we have been getting very creative. We have looked at various artists from different countries to compare their similarities and differences, then we created our own versions. Here are some of our Miro and Monet paintings.
