Mrs T's Blog (18.7.25)
And in the ‘blink of an eye', school is out for summer.
What a year it’s been. We have done so so much and our students remain the focus of everything we do.
A few weeks ago, I shared with our blog readers a quote from our Chair of Governors, Andrea .
I’m going to share it again..
· 118 blogs (this figure has definitely increased in the month of June and July)
· 494 updates, including those from our holiday club
· 27 updates from Disneyland Paris
These aren’t just numbers; they represent moments of joy, pride and connection for families who love to see the growth, learning and excitement their children experience every day.
Whether it’s a glimpse into our many trips, a celebration of themed days, performances, the chicks hatching, or just everyday magic in the classroom, your efforts bring our school to life beyond its walls.
This has been a year of highlights:
· We celebrated becoming an Apple Distinguished School
· Continued developing our transitions and parent engagement through focus groups
· Showcased pupil voice through school councils and parliament
· Supported independence and aspiration through external events as the JD Sports partnerships, sporting and arts events
· And consistently promoted our core values: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Ready to Learn
Your contributions have also enriched our understanding as governors. Through visits and regular updates, we’ve witnessed firsthand the vibrancy, warmth, and ambition that define our school community.
Thank you for all you do to not only educate and support our pupils but also to celebrate them so openly and proudly. It truly makes a difference.
Wishing you a restful and well-deserved break.
OFSTED recognised what we do and we retained our outstanding grade.
This week we gained Sports Mark Gold which recognises the commitment of our students and staff to sporting events and competition. Well done PE team.
So how does the magic happen? Simple. The staff team. A dedicated, resilient team who put the students in the middle of everything we do. This blog (and the ones I have written over the past 9 months) are testimony to what they do day in day out. I am immensely proud of them.
Next week, we begin our holiday program and I can’t wait to see what Mrs Bingley has planned for the summer. I am sure the blogs will be amazing.
So that’s it for me.
On behalf of my staff team and senior team can I say a massive ‘thank you' to all our families, carers and extended partners for their support and co-productive working over the past academic year.
And finally – our students. Who make our day and shape our lives – for the better.
Happy Summer
Stay safe
