Mrs T's Blog (28.3.25)

I can’t believe we are nearing the end of Spring 2 already and so much has gone on since January.

This week we met with our governors – which is something we do every term. The meeting is a summary of what the New Bridge Schools have competed over the past term and Andrea – our Chair of Governors opened the meeting with a 'congratulations’ on maintaining our outstanding status. Can I just say a thank you to our governing body who support everything we do in school and share in our celebrations and successes.

This week in school we have been really busy. We've had sports teams out and about...

Next week I’m going to be meeting with School Council and I’ve been reading through some of the issues they have raised around the building and regarding transitions to the next part of their school journey.

In the next term – we will be really busy ensuring we make sure – through our transition process and information sharing with other sites and through talking with our students – that everyone feels safe and informed. Over the past 2 weeks we have met with our year 9 families and talked to them about the next steps.

That’s it for me this week. The clocks go back this weekend, and I believe – that next week – the weather will be warmer.

Over the past week or so, lots of our groups have been out and about involved in learning.

It’s also Mother's Day on Sunday – so whoever you celebrate – mums, grandparents, sister, aunties – please enjoy the day.

And to our families who are ending Ramadan – Eid Mubarak "blessed feast or festival” to you all.

Stay safe
