Pathways Blog - 18.7.25

As we come to the end of another school year, we want to take a moment to pause and reflect on everything we’ve achieved together, and to look forward to what is still to come.

First, to our incredible Year 11s – well done! You’ve shown resilience, maturity, and determination throughout your final year with us, and we couldn’t be prouder. From your academic achievements to personal growth and friendships made, each one of you has left a mark on our school community. Today isn’t just about saying goodbye – it’s about celebrating how far you’ve come. Whatever comes next for you – New Bridge Learning Centre, New Bridge College or an external college - we know you’ll continue to grow and shine. We’ll miss you, but we’re excited to see where your journeys take you.

To our Year 10s – your time is coming. You’ve already shown great promise, and we can’t wait to see you step into your final year with confidence, focus and pride. Year 11 is a big year, but we believe in every single one of you. Make it count, support one another, and push yourselves – the best is yet to come.

And finally, a warm welcome in advance to the Year 9s who will be joining us as Year 10s in September. We’re so looking forward to meeting you properly and helping you settle into this next exciting stage of your journey.

As we wrap up the school year, we want to wish all our pupils, staff, and families a wonderful summer holiday! After a year full of hard work, growth, and unforgettable memories, it’s time to relax, recharge, and enjoy the well-deserved break.

Whatever your plans are – whether you’re travelling, spending time with loved ones, or simply enjoying a slower pace – we hope your summer is filled with laughter, sunshine, and happiness.

Stay safe, look after yourselves and each other, and make the most of every moment.

We look forward to welcoming many of you back in September, refreshed and ready for the exciting year ahead.

Happy Summer! ☀️🌴

Wowzers!

The end of term is always full of mixed emotions – happiness, relief, anxiousness or excitement – sometimes interchangeable at a moments notice, but this is only a snap shot of a bigger picture. And the bigger picture

At Pathways, we love celebrating success and progress, and today was an opportunity to recognised the hard work our pupils have done throughout the academic year.

We wanted to acknowledge pupils hard work in various areas of their school experience

To celebrate, pupils were invited to the Boardroom for Pizza & Pop, where they were waited on by Miss Barakat, Miss Brown, Mr Southerington and even Mr Lyons!!

Pupils were nominated by their class team for a variety of reasons including hard work, behaviour progress, friendships and following the 3B’s. Big well done to Shuhel, Christine, Peace, Kenzie, Amber, Demmi-Leigh, Reece, Kyle, Syd and Macie.

Nikol, Francis, Lukas and Liam were recognised for their 100% attendance over the academic year.

Jack was the recipient of the Pastoral Award for

Jacob received the Academic Award.

Junior was the Recognition Star, for achieving the most Positive points throughout the year.

As the school year ends, CLGen have been on a journey filled with growth, laughter, and unforgettable memories. From tackling new challenges to celebrating achievements, each student has brought something special to the class. They’ve learned so much from each other and I am proud of how far they have come. Here's to the friendships they have built, the lessons they have learned, and the bright futures ahead! Good Luck from Mrs Taylor and Miss Atkins

Lumenus

As we reach the end of another incredible year. Myself and Miss Sinclair want to take a moment to reflect on what has truly been a journey of growth, creativity and passion.

To our amazing Lumenus KS4 students, this year you have stunned us. Not just with your talent, but with your discipline, your imagination, and your courage to step out of your comfort zone.

This year’s production of the Adam’s Family, Dance Explosions, Chicago Improviastion trip , and assessments, weren’t just performances, they were works of art and moments of transformation. Whether you took lead on stage or worked behind the scenes you contributed something powerful. Me and Miss Sinclair have watched you support one another, lift each other’s spirits and collaborate in ways that showed true maturity and respect for the craft.

As your teacher and support worker , we couldn’t be prouder.

A Special farewell and good luck to our year 11 leavers. We hope your new adventures will be all you wish for and continue to shine like the stars you are.

Thank you for all your hard work, your heart and your spirit, Lumenus. You’ve made this year unforgettable.

Now take a bow. You’ve earned it.

Ms Pilgrim & Miss Sinclair.
