Pathways Blog - 19.9.25
As we reach the end of another busy week, it’s been fantastic to see the learning that is taking place in every classroom. We have also had some fantastic offsite PE lessons at Mahdlo and for some pupils a visit to New Bridge School for rebound therapy.
I’ve had some lovely chats with some our year 10 pupils this week and they have said they really enjoy being at here Pathways and it makes them feel really grown up.
Here’s hoping for a little sunshine next week — but if not, we’ll keep finding ways to make the days bright at New Bridge Pathways!
Have a lovely weekend

CL5
This term in English, CL5 took part in a creative challenge that combined expressive language with listening skills and the results were fantastic. Students described their characters with vivid detail, using imaginative phrases, while their partners listened closely and translated those descriptions into drawings. The level of engagement was impressive, with thoughtful questions, careful interpretation, and a real sense of collaboration.
The final sketches sparked great discussions, highlighting how well students communicated through language and how effectively their partners visualised those ideas. It was wonderful to see such high levels of creativity and fantastic listening skills.
Well done, CL5!

CL2
In science we discussed the parts of a bean. We watched a PowerPoint to show us the parts of a bean and how important they are then we did a cut and stick activity.
We then have started our own science project; we have begun to grow beans which we have placed in food bags and stuck to our class window so that we can see the roots and shoots as they grow.
We will update as they start to grow.
