Awards

A HUGE well done to all students this morning who received a form tutor or pastoral award. These students have either had a massive improvement in their behaviour or have continually gone above and beyond at school. They were able to join our SLT and pastoral team for milkshakes and pastries.

Keep working hard and who knows who will receive the award next half term!

Digi Enterprise

This half term, the Digital Pathway students have been working on their Easter enterprise project. They were tasked with coming up with items to sell to raise money for year 11 leavers hoodies. The students came up with personalised mugs and bags. I would like to thank all the families who have supported the enterprise project as you can see the students are thrilled with the orders and final products - Miss Wood

Super Learning Day

On Wednesday, the building participated in a Super Learning Day- Looking at how Eid and Easter are celebrated around the world. It was a great day. In Digi 2 we made Malaysian Pineapple tarts and found out that in Iceland, those who don’t want to participate in Easter celebrations lock themselves in the pub and play bingo, the students loved their game of bingo. In Digi 1 they looked at New Zealand and made some incredible biscuits! Easter bonnets were created in CL Tech 2 as well as mystery hot cross bun taste testing and in CL Tech 1 they made the American dish Shoe fly pie! We then decorated floor 2 with everything we had learned from the different countries. I hope you can agree that the displays look incredible!

Lumeuns

Today Lumenus had the opportunity to perform for other schools that have been working with nation youth theatre and present what they have been doing this year. All of the students did a piece about the future and what it might look like. It was a fantastic opportunity to see what other schools have been doing and getting to meet new people.

We are extremely proud of all of the students that participated. Lumenus have enjoyed working with nation youth theatre and looked forward to every session each week. It was lovely to see there masterpiece being performed in front of an audience.

Have a well-deserved rest Lumenus!

Enjoy your Easter
